Backstory:

Daniel born to a wealthy family. But this wasn’t your normal wealthy “My mommy and daddy don’t notice me” family. This was a mob family. Daniel at a young age was exposed to what the world was like, but his father wanted his son to be the heir to the business, but Daniel didn’t.

He wanted to be an assassin, so he trained to show his father he wasn’t some doll, that he wanted to be a killer. He trained for years with a from an old Yakuza member. Daniel became well trained in hand-to-hand, and up-close weapons like daggers, and of course guns.

Daniel completed his training, but his father would never send him on a mission, the two got into a fight and for the first time, his father hit Daniel. In a rage, Daniel ran from his house into the woods. He kept running until he stumbled into an old house.

Still angry, he began to kick over things and soon found an amulet. It whispered something, and when Daniel put it on, he heard a voice. The voice told him that is Shade, a being of shadow that is now latched to Daniel, not to kill him, but to help in a way. Shade wanted to simply be able to move and live, Daniel told him he wanted to be powerful, more so then his father. So the two made a partnership that night.

For a few more years, Daniel would go out and kill to feed Shade, while Shade would make Daniel stronger. Daniel’s new strength impressed his father, so he sent him out on his first mission, to kill another family’s arms dealer, and during the mission, the warehouse they were in was set ablaze. But instead of dying from it, Shade saved Daniel.

Daniel learned that people thought he was dead, but instead of making a big reveal, Daniel decided that he would use this to become an assassin, so he did just that.

Now taking on the name Gentle Man, Daniel and Shade became feared amongst the criminal world.
